Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and Sridhar Beemaneni (sole proprietor), Bengaluru, Karnataka ("we"), for using Rentclear. By creating an account or using Rentclear you agree to them and to our privacy policy.

1. What Rentclear is

Rentclear is a tool for owners of PGs, hostels and rental properties to keep records of rooms, beds, tenants, rent and expenses. We are a software provider. We are not a landlord, broker, bank or payment service.

• Rent is paid by the tenant directly to the owner. Rentclear only helps to record it.
• Agreements, receipts and invoices made by the app are simple templates for convenience, not legal advice.

2. Your account

• You must be 18 or older and give true information.
• Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Owners may add managers and are responsible for what their managers do.

3. Owners' responsibilities

• Store only information about tenants and others that you have a right to keep, and use it lawfully.
• Keep the records you enter accurate, and check important figures yourself.

4. Free trial, plans and payment

• New owner accounts get a free trial of 30 days. Plans, limits and prices are shown on the pricing page and in the app, and may change. Changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.
• When a trial or plan ends, the app is paused until you choose a plan. Your records are kept and you can still delete your account.
• Refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy.

5. What you must not do

• Break the law, or use Rentclear to cheat, threaten or harass anyone.
• Try to get into other people's accounts or data, or to break, overload or copy the service.
• Upload anything harmful or unlawful, or that you have no right to share.

6. Your data

Your records are yours. You can download your payment records and delete your account in the app. Deleting the only owner account of a business erases the whole business and cannot be undone.

7. Availability and our responsibility

• We work to keep Rentclear running and your data safe, but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
• To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing.
• Nothing here limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited.

8. Ending

You can stop using Rentclear and delete your account at any time. We may suspend access if these terms are broken or the law requires it. If we stop offering Rentclear we will give notice so you can download your records.

9. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will say so in the app if a change matters. These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts in Bengaluru have jurisdiction, subject to any consumer rights you have to go to a court nearer to you.
